Dec. 12, 2012 – In a column today at First Things magazine, Archbishop Aquila writes about the month’s particularly maternal feasts of the Immaculate Conception, the Feast of our Lady of Guadalupe, and Christmas.  There he recognizes the key role that women—especially Mary—have played in the history of Christianity and they degree to which the Church reveres the feminine genius, and the genius of motherhood.
