Deacons are not immune to life’s trials and tribulations, as we all face the same trials and tribulations that confront the parish and diocesan communities in which we serve. At times, deacons need care and support so that we, in turn, can care for others. In this spirit of brotherhood, the Deacons’ Assistance Apostolate began. The purpose of this Apostolate is to provide compassionate care and personal support to deacons as they navigate the challenges of life and their vocations. Through the outreach of this Apostolate and the help of brother deacons, we hope that our diaconal community will find the fullness of life, experience the love of Christ, and continued growth in the joy of the Holy Spirit.
