Guadalupe Community Center

The Guadalupe Community Center is a homeless shelter in Greeley which offers programs and services that operate on a “support to succeed” approach where homelessness does not equate hopelessness. The Center gives these residents a safe and supportive place to live for a few months while they secure income and save the money to transition to affordable housing.

Many people who have lost their jobs and their homes also become lost in their faith. The deacon’s presence and support provides a means for them to rediscover their faith life. A chapel is located within the Center and provides a space for clergy to meet residents for consultations and prayer.

Ministry to the residents of the Guadalupe Community Center in Greeley consists of deacons assisting with the spiritual needs of the residents by providing spiritual counseling, providing a Catholic presence, and a Communion service every other week. A Mass is also celebrated once a month for residents and staff.
